So I wake in the morning and I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
What's goin' on...

  • Young Rewired State

Great work from Callum, our parttime coder who we sponsored to go to Young Rewired State. He was on the team for "How's my train running", which won the "Most likely to antagonise CIO council prize". We're so proud...

  • LocalGovCamp

This was the beginning of summer conference-a-thon, and a fine thing it was too. A lot of "we've done", and sharing of actual experience was great to see. Just a little hint of preaching to the converted, but a great opportunity to catch up with what's going on.

  • UKGovCamp2009

No hyperbole here. UKGovCamp - or however it should be capitalised - was fabulous. It had a couple of teeny downsides - I'm now signed up to Twitter, and the attendee demographic was a little WEM for me. But the conversations, the challenges, the contacts, and Clarke in action... A really really good day. Looking forward to next year's already. The focus is on delivery now.

  • Alterego live...

So, we've been working on sns apps for some time now. This is the first of the apps for the Phantasmagoria project for Channel 4. Works on MySpace and Bebo - do take a look. We're very proud of the project.

  • Dictum live....

If you'd like to see (a lot of) what we've been doing for the last year... You can now grab Dictum for your Bebo or MySpace profile and show folk what you Would or Would never do...

  • Museums, sustainability and growth

One of the perks of being a small company is that you can explore areas just because they're interesting. So we do turn up in odd places, just to see what might spark what. But this conference showed that heritage is so full of possibilities for imaginative use of Internet technologies, I got a little dizzy. Maybe a little because it was mainly new to me, but the level of thinking was top hole, the speakers and discussions excellent. Inspiring. Fabulous. Thanks to the organisers for letting some random geek in to their world.

  • UKYouthOnline unconference

Another marvellous unconference. I love this format - feels much more centered on the attendees than a traditional "stand up and speak" event. Congratulations to Tim Davies for all the set-up work.

  • 2gether

A great day of sidealley catchups and ideas for innovating with. Thanks to Steve for the invite - well worth the break from Phantasmagoria work.

  • Wordle is ace

Every now and then a tool comes along which just makes us happy. Wordle is one of those tools, and this is how it looks when you feed it some words about us.

  • CIPR Gold Award

Neontribe people in partnership with Norfolk County Council and NFN were awarded the CIPR Gold award for best use of New Media for Bus Stop 39

  • Well, it's public then...

So, Phantasmagoria is outed. We've been working round use of the Internet as a channel for informal educational outcomes for some time now. We're dead chuffed that Channel 4 are taking that concept a stage further - Phantasmagoria is very oblique in its educational value. We're convinced it's got huge potential as a tool for transformation, and we're looking forward to seeing how it's used.

  • The BETT panel

Rupert was a member of Channel 4's panel on the Future Schools strand at BETT. It's nice to get out.
